Semester Wrap-Up
As I sit here terribly procrastinating studying for my Spanish final, I thought I might tie up a few loose ends on my fourth semester at UT. I have to say, I think it’s been the best thus far…
*Laurel
I love this place. I have loved every minute forming a wonderful friendship with my roommate. It has been such a blessing. I’ve also loved living with all my sisters, making closer friendships and having the experience of community… even if we don’t have a house. There’ve been some good times here.. all the way back to football season, potlucks, movie nights, formals, you name it. It’s been great.
*School
terrible. My 4.0 is gone. Next.
*Downtown
I’ve gotten to go downtown a lot this semester, and it has become my favorite place in Knoxville. My heart loves the Tennessee marquee of the Tennessee Theater and Market Square is my new favorite hangout. Much of this has to do with The Square Room. Whoever the talent booker is there has become my new best friend. Though I did not get to go, they brought Griffin House to the stage, who is an incredible singer/songwriter. I was able to see Matt Wertz, Josh Kelley with Ryan Cabrera, and Gavin Degraw there. Let me tell you, as much as music speaks to my heart, few things could have made me happier! Oh.. they are just… fantastic, and I’m in love. :)
I also got to see Dave Barnes and the Gabe Dixon band at the Bijou. Again, wonderful, wonderful stuff.
*ASB
I was a second year veteran this year, and the second go-around did not let me down. It was such an incredible experience with incredible people. These trips will play such a big part in my college experience, and hope to go on more.
*General Happiness
I’m a happy girl. I love my life and those in it. This semester, I feel it’s been amplified even more. I don’t know why. I’m sad to think that as soon as I blink it will all be over…
